Royal Yachting Association (RYA) first aid

1-day course tailored for water users

Central Bristol or for groups at a venue to suit you

The RYA First Aid course is a 1-day course which covers all the general HSE first aid requirements. However, this RYA First Aid course is more directed towards water users and anyone working in or around water. This course covers additional areas such as drowning, cold water shock, sea sickness, dehydration and hypothermia.

It’s only a one-day course but it could save yours or a crew members life. This course is aimed at anyone who gets afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or on cross channel passages. Immediate action in an emergency at sea can save lives.

This course fulfils the requirements needed for professional skippers working up to 60 miles offshore, Boat Masters, and ISAF offshore racers. It also covers the contents and use of the ‘CAT C’ first aid kit.

Our trainers have a wealth of knowledge and experience and will ensure that the training is both current and memorable. These courses will assist all that take them, in dealing with unexpected accidents and emergencies.
